BASIC: Brothers And Sisters In Christ

Brothers and Sisiters in Christ (BASIC) - this is our space! Come here to find out what's going on at St. Anastasia for you: share your thoughts, tell a joke, offer a prayer of encouragement for someone else, or see what you missed last Sunday.

Using this place, we can stay connected between meetings and reach out to others by sharing what makes St. Anastasia BASIC such a great part of our lives.

Mission Statement

To welcome young people as they are, and to inspire them to live their lives focused on Christ and serving others.

Description and Philosophy

The St. Anastasia Brothers and Sisters in Christ (BASIC) is a youth ministry program serving all high school students (grades 9-12).  BASIC is based on the fundamental message that Jesus Christ brought to the world, love; providing teens the opportunity to be with one another, to learn about one another, to be there for one another and to serve others.  Jesus went out to meet people where they were; imitating His example BASIC is an umbrella for multiple ministries and programs designed to meet teens where they are spiritually, emotionally, and intellectually.

BASIC provides young people with theology, social justice and outreach, leadership opportunities, community, faith, prayer, and fun. Through conventional and non-conventional methods, BASIC informs and inspires young people, and the parish, to faith in action; giving teens a firm foundation of faith, based on the teaching of the Catholic Church.
